Excited Anticipation (and just a little nervous!)

This morning 28 people lined up in front of the Cedarbrook Church community to be prayed for by Pastor Remy.  Three teams are venturing out this week into the world of international outreach!

On Monday, January 10, four people will be heading to Guatemala to work in a variety of contexts.  They'll begin on Tuesday by connecting with a team from Stevens Point, Wisconsin who is doing a medical clinic in the village of Sumpango.  From there, the team will be exploring possible venues for future outreach.  We're expecting for God to open up some exciting doors!  Watch for updates on the NEXT International blog

On Tuesday,  January 11, twelve people will be boarding a plane in frigid weather bound for the Southern Hemisphere's town of Dichato, Chile.  This team will bring encouragement and practical help to this village as they help rebuild a water supply and restroom facilities which were destroyed by an earthquake and tsunami.  Watch for their updates on this blog site.

On Friday, January 14, twelve more Cedarbrookers will be transported to Minneapolis where they will begin their journey to a village in Northern Honduras.  This team will be working with Living Water International.  Their task will be to help drill a well that will provide fresh water for people in surrounding villages.  They will also teach hygiene practices so that the folks there will be able to stay healthy with their new fresh water well.

Please keep these groups in your prayers for the days ahead.  Undoubtedly, each team and each team member will encounter many unexpected challenges and joys!  We look forward to seeing them all back in 2 weeks!  Stay tuned to the blogs for updates!
